I do not know if this is a valid hobby but I love to listen to and interpret songs. Most people only decide they like a certain song because of the beat or a certain line, but they don't truly understand them. Some even use a song in inappropriate situations and that's because they only listen to a few lines from the song and decide that it's cute. So this is what I do as a hobby, I would listen to a song that catches my attention and try to understand the lyrics. If it doesn't make sense, I'd do a little research on the song.

For example, the song Before You Go by Lewis Capaldi. I spent a few weeks listening to it and at first, I thought it was a breakup song, but the more I listen to it, the more I think it has a deeper meaning. It was only when I decided to read the facts written on Spotify that I found out Lewis wrote this song for his relative that he lost to suicide. It was written from the perspective of her family members who probably felt like they could have done something to help her. This is an example of how songs can have a deeper meaning if listened to properly.

I also love songs that have beautiful words and romantic ideas about destined love like the song Cosmic by Ryeowook and Bada. Other than that, It's just nice to imagine out the songs that I listen to. The best singers usually write their songs from the heart and that is how we can learn about them. I choose my favourite singers by how sincere they are and the messages they try to convey through their songs.
