I've always loved photography, but I never really got to experience using a real camera before I joined the club. The moment my photography mentor gave me a chance to be the cameraman for a school event, I was sure that it is something that I am truly in love with. My teacher saw the passion in me and since then I've become his apprentice for every school event. He was so kind as to let me borrow his own camera and entrusted me with it

People often ask me, why I love photography so much. My answer to that is I get to see people smile. Even the most intimidating person I've met loves to be photographed. Seeing the smiles on their faces as I capture the moments, is the reason photography will always be a growing passion in me.

It also a way for me to preserve every beautiful sight and moments I've witnessed through my eyes. Being able to look back at them gives me immense joy.

POLAR SCIENCE CAMP

To be frank, highschool was the reason I suffered from mental health issues. I couldn't keep myself from suffering. I participated in all these competitions so that I could run away from the suffocating environment of my boarding school. They gave me something to anticipate so that I won't dread my days as much. All the medals I've won has a very sentimental value to me that only I know of. To others, it's just a prize that I can be proud of after working hard, which is true but not quite right in my book.

Through these competitions, I gained many amazing friends that I still keep in touch with today. Aside from that, this is where I develop my soft skills. All of these competitions required me to speak in front of crowds of people which challenged me to keep my cool as I try to come up with elaborate explanations to my points. I loved to be listened to and these competitions made it seem like what I say matter. Most of the time, I don't think I deserve all the awards that I received. But if there was one explanation as to why I got them anyway is that I did everything with heart. Everything was personal and emotionally driven.

Fully Residential Schools International Symposium

This is my favorite competition because I got to mingle with international students. It is also the day my  school held the highest score among other prestigious schools. One of the happiest moments of my life.

EMCEEING

Another talent of mine is that I can emcee! I've emcee events at my school mostly in 2019. Not to sound boastful but there was a time when my photography mentor and event coordinator had to fight for me because they both needed me for the event. I also once did both at the same time. Crazy but it was fun^^From Raya to farewell ceremonies, I've done it all. My favourite is Majlis Anugerah SESTER because it's the day I get to announce the winner of the house cup. The privilege is that I get to know first hehe ;p
